South Korea announced on Thursday that Kim Jong Un will be accompanied by nine delegates at his upcoming summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Analysis of the delegation members suggests the following:

Kim Jong Un has chosen to be accompanied by officials with either experience in foreign policy or responsibility for military affairs; Many of the high-ranking officials previously visited the South during either the opening or closing ceremonies of the 2018 Olympics; The delegation does not include economic-related officials; With the exception of Ri Myong Su, none of the officials accompanying Kim appear to have
