Street propaganda in North Korea plays a central role in how the ruling party communicates its message to the people, and often reflects changing political priorities. When tensions with the U.S. have been high, slogans have hailed the coming “great and decisive war against America,” while a diplomat détente last year saw the propaganda’s focus shift to the economy.
