A North Korea-flagged oil tanker linked to illicit activities recently resumed broadcasting its location near the DPRK’s Nampho port after disappearing from the maritime tracking system for more than a year, position records show.

Experts told NK Pro that the recent appearance of the Chon Ma San (IMO number: 8660313) near the port suggests that the DPRK is conducting sanctioned ship-to-ship transfers in the area to facilitate oil imports.
