North Korean state media has been relatively quiet in its commentary on the upcoming U.S. presidential election, but the limited coverage so far shows that the DPRK is maintaining its traditional line that monopoly capitalists control the political system and only represent their own interests.

State propaganda also pushes the narrative that the problems of American society, like racism, violence and inequality, are a consequence of this system and that elections are not a fair competition between parties that represent the interests of the American people.
