A North Korean threat group notorious for its phishing campaigns and data theft operations is now exploiting the remote functionality of Google’s web browser to gain control over compromised systems, according to a South Korean cybersecurity firm.

Kimsuky is using its signature AppleSeed backdoor malware as well as other tools in a new operation targeting users through Chrome Remote Desktop, AhnLab Security Emergency response Center (ASEC) states in a new report released Friday.
