Analysis North Korean gasoline, diesel imports continued to fall in SeptemberShipments were higher overall, however, thanks to a large purchase of a different fuel type North Korean imports of Chinese gasoline and diesel continued to dwindle in September, trade figures show, a month before new UN measures targeting the DPRK’s fuel supplies. According to the most recent figures from Beijing’s General Administration of Customs, shipments of both fuels fell compared to the previous month, continuing a trend which began earlier this year. The DPRK spent a little over USD$100,000 on gasoline and diesel in September, a reduction of nearly 60 percent when compared to August’s already low imports.
