North Korean imports of Chinese diesel and gasoline remained low in August, numbers from Beijing’s customs agency collated by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) indicate, ahead of UN restrictions which will limit the DPRK’s oil supplies.

The DPRK bought just 180 tonnes of gasoline and 170 tonnes of diesel from its neighbor in August, though the gasoline imports were an increase from the previous month.
