North Korean fishing vessels have been flocking to a Russian Far Eastern port with ties to New Zealand, NK Pro analysis shows, highlighting another avenue of Moscow-Pyongyang cooperation as their forces fight side-by-side in Ukraine.

At least three DPRK-flagged vessels have docked at the same pier in Russia’s Nakhodka since early last year, MarineTraffic and Global Fishing Watch data shows. The city lies next to Vostochny Port, a key hub for North Korea-Russia arms trade and a major destination for the DPRK’s illicit oil tankers.
