North Korean state media has yet to report on the political chaos in South Korea since President Yoon Suk-yeol briefly imposed martial law earlier this week, despite frequently covering ROK protests against Yoon in recent months.

The DPRK’s silence may be due to concerns that any comments on the situation could appear to justify the South Korean president’s stated desire to crack down on “pro-North Korea” forces, as well as a recognition that there’s little it can do to influence the situation as Yoon faces impeachment.
