North Korea has outlined its two-year plan for the Rason special economic zone (SEZ) in a brochure made available at the region’s recently concluded trade fair.

The document entitled “Guide to Investment in Rason Economic and Trade zone” touts the areas existing infrastructure, current foreign investment and potential for expansion.

Plans for the next two years include construction of a new airport, heliports and expanding the three nearby seaports, while also adding to and upgrading the local power generating facilities.
