News North Korea exports to China fall to yearly lowsDPRK also bought fewer food products from its neighbor in June, data shows North Korean exports to China fell to their lowest level in 12 months, falling to a combined $13 million in value for the month of June, data from the ITC trade map shows. The DPRK export figures are the lowest since June last year, when shipments to neighboring China, bottomed out at just over $10 million, were trending upwards again until the end of 2018. The numbers, provided to ITC by China’s customs authorities, continue to paint a bleak picture for the DPRK’s trade revenues which have fallen to just a fraction of pre-sanctions levels.
