North Korea continued its lucrative wig and hair trade with China in March, while supplying large quantities of ores and electricity to its largest trading partner.

NK Pro analysis of line-item data released by China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) found that bilateral trade between North Korea and China rebounded to nearly $160 million last month. 

However, it remained below January’s figure despite an uptick in imports and exports of hair and wig products.
