The number of vessels linked to North Korea using Tanzanian flags has dropped dramatically over the course of four months, data from the NK Pro vessel tracker and Marine Traffic shows.

While an original analysis published by NK Pro in October last year indicated that over 40 vessels with links to the DPRK were sailing with Tanzanian flags, a more recent look at the data shows number is now below 30.

The migration away from Tanzania since the start of the year saw additional vessels join the North Korean ranks, while others reflagged to the Comoros Islands
