Since coming to power in 2011, Kim Jong Un has conducted very few diplomacy-related public appearances: arguably the most notable was a meeting with a Cuban delegation in 2016. But March saw Kim’s public activity exclusively focused on diplomacy. Three major events took place: Kim met with a South Korean government delegation early in the month, held talks with Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and, of course, conducted his first international visit: a summit with Xi Jinping in Beijing.
