A large new campus in Pyongyang shrouded in mystery and located next to North Korea’s most prestigious university is likely a military-affiliated institute, according to NK Pro analysis of exclusive on-the-ground photos of campus buildings.

The images of the campus next to Pyongyang’s Kim Il Sung University (KISU) are the first to show the facilities from up close, as state media has sought to hide its existence since construction finished and it became active in 2018. The name of the institute remains unknown.
