The value of Euros in North Korea has increased by over 20% since December, unofficial exchange rate data monitored by NK Pro shows, even as the value of the U.S. dollar remained static over the same period.

One Euro was worth slightly over 10,000 Korean People’s Won (KPW) in Pyongyang in February, an informed source told NK Pro on condition of anonymity, a sharp increase from its normal value of between 8000-8300 won.
