Sulgiye Park is a senior scientist in the Global Security Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. Her work focuses on the front and back end of the nuclear fuel cycle, monitoring and verifying nuclear activities, and analyzing fissile nuclear materials stockpiles. Dr. Park holds a Ph.D. in geological sciences from Stanford University, where her thesis work involved the characterization of nuclear and earth materials under extreme conditions.
