A new 22-story tower purported to be a marine sports center is under construction in central Pyongyang, recent photos and information from on-the-ground sources reveal.

An artistic rendering of the new building, photographed just outside the site, shows a long addition to the already-built tower along with what appear to be garages and multiple docks extending into the Taedong River.

One local referred to the project as the “sail building” due to its dual-pointed shape resembling a boat sail, a source in the DPRK capital said, adding that they suspected it will serve as new
