Chinese exports of gasoline and diesel to North Korea remained at zero for the second month running in November, customs data seen by Reuters shows, marking a continuing period of very limited fuel shipments from the DPRK’s longstanding energy patron.

The November figures come as the UN Security Council (UNSC) released stricter measures covering fuel exports to the DPRK set to go into effect on January 1, 2018.

Chinese data compiled by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) show that Beijing’s exports of fuel products to North Korea have dwindled throughout 2017.
