China and Russia have both confirmed to the UN that they have delivered oil products to North Korea in recent months, the UN’s 1718 Committee website shows.

Recent reports from NK Pro highlighted the recorded shipments of both countries contained in trade databases, though the latest UN resolutions also call on member states to report shipments to the international body’s 1718 Committee.

The resolutions do not call for a complete fuel or crude oil embargo on North Korea, though do place quotas on the amount of oil UN member states can export to the DPRK
