Vessels identified by the UN Panel of Experts for their roles in smuggling North Korean coal continue to ply their trade around China, Japan, and South East Asia, even as they also show transmission gaps in their location broadcasts, NK Pro analysis shows.

In the last seven days alone, five ships identified by the UN body tasked with monitoring DPRK sanctions enforcement called in at ports in the region, with each showing positional transmission gaps in their location broadcasts in August or July.
