It still does not appear that repairs along the Sino-Korea Friendship have begun. Yonhap reported that the 40-day repair period began on August 20th, but Daily NK followed up on the 23rd, reporting that repairs had been delayed and that transporters were overloading vehicles in anticipation of a loss of business during the repair period.
This all builds on previous Daily NK reports of worries by Chinese officials that the bridge was in too poor a state of continue operations, as well as intermittent suspensions of traffic.
