Three North Korean figure skaters and the DPRK minister for sport departed for China this week to attend the Asian Winter Games in Harbin. Seoul’s unification ministry said Pyongyang appears to be focusing on events where medals are most likely. 

One-thousand students completed a 250-mile pilgrimage from Pyongyang to the Chinese border area, following the same route that the state claims Kim Il Sung took at age 14 when he left to join the liberation movement.
