North Korea has revealed the identity of the new head of the country’s top military development organization, putting a face to a top missile official who appears to have been behind successful advances in building tactical nuclear missiles.

According to NK Pro analysis, the new President of the Academy of Defense Science Kim Yong Hwan (김용환) has shown up with DPRK leader Kim Jong Un at military events since at least 2017 and has been involved with a range of major new missile systems.

The Academy of Defense Science (ADS, formerly the Second Natural Science Academy
