North Korea appears to be making progress on plans to bolster its military and a secretive drone program by building aviation clubs in all major cities, according to NK Pro analysis of state media and satellite imagery.

State media last week announced the opening of the country’s first modern “air club” (항공구락부) outside the capital in Kanggye, Jagang Province, while NK Pro has found evidence of slow but ongoing work to open similar facilities in at least six other cities.
