The upcoming report of the U.N. Panel of Experts (PoE) on North Korea offers useful insight into North Korea’s ongoing ballistic missile and nuclear activities, with an unfinalized draft seen by NK Pro asserting that Pyongyang’s weapons programs continue to make progress.

As the follow-up to the autumn 2021 mid-term report, the latest Panel report covers North Korean activities from Aug. 4, 2021 to Jan. 28, 2022. The period includes six of out seven North Korean missile launches last month, all but the final test of a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missile.
