China’s exports to North Korea in April more than doubled compared to the previous month, according to Chinese customs data.

For the month of April, China’s General Administration of Customs reported a total China-DPRK trade volume of $30.6 million, with Chinese exports to North Korea making up $28.8 million. The newly released data shows a continuing uptick in trade between China and North Korea since the previous month, when Chinese exports jumped from $3,000 in February to about $13 million in March.

Imports from North Korea also rose by half a million dollars, from $1.31 million in March
