Amid swirling rumors that North Korea is about to accept more imported goods after months of abysmal trade, new Chinese data shows that the DPRK bought fertilizer, fuel and pesticides from Beijing last month.

According to data from China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC), China exported roughly $13 million worth of goods to North Korea  — a 433,200% increase in value when compared to February. The specific goods North Korea imported may also offer clues on what’s most strategically important for the country as it appears to be dipping its toes back into larger amounts of trade.[/p
