China’s officially reported food exports to North Korea plummeted in the month of March, according to new data made public by the Chinese General Administration of Customs (GAC).

The new numbers reflect a period of intense border controls by Pyongyang — put in place as a defense against the COVID-19 pandemic — which were said to have blocked much of the flow of goods and people between the DPRK and the outside world.
