Two Dubai restaurants managed by North Korean representatives have either shut-down or “temporarily closed,” NK Pro understands, seemingly as part of efforts to comply with UN Security Council Resolution 2397.

Until 2019, three Okru-gwan-brand restaurants could be found in the United Arab Emirates (UAE): two in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi.

Photos obtained by NK Pro show that one of the Dubai-based branches – located in Deira – was not welcoming customers as of February 11 and featured a sign posted reading “Temporarily Closed”.
