China’s cereal exports to North Korea fell sharply in the month of October, according to data compiled by the Chinese General Customs Administration (GAC) and published by the International Trade Centre (ITC).

The new numbers show a drop of more than 50 percent from the previous month, down to about $7.8 million worth of grains.

Despite that drop, October’s cereal exports from China are still higher than at any point before July of this year, since at least the spring of 2018.
