A North Korean ship which previously appeared to be sailing with a Cambodian flag is now not reporting any country’s colors to vessel tracking systems, the NK Pro ship tracker shows.

A previous NK Pro report highlighted the DPRK-owned Kum Gang San 2’s recent journey to China where it seemed to be broadcasting inconsistent flag data to Automatic Identification System (AIS) tracking network.

The 5500-tonne cargo ship’s AIS data indicated that it was sailing with a Cambodian flag – a potential breach of UN resolutions – by potentially manipulating its transponder signal.
