China reported its first shipment of motor or aviation gasoline to North Korea for nearly two years, Beijing’s April customs figures show, though the exported amount was negligible.

Figures collated by the ITC trade map show Beijing reported a shipment of gasoline worth $35,000 in April, the first such export since September 2017.

Previous NK Pro reports have tracked China’s apparent fuel cut off to North Korea, with exports of commonly used fuels ceasing around mid-2017 when the UN Security Council (UNSC) began restricting exports of refined petroleum to the DPRK.
