In what marks an apparently continued uptick in the number of sanctioned vessels seen in the region, the Hua Feng briefly appeared on international tracking systems near Taiwan on Sunday. The 10,000 tonne, formerly Panamanian-flagged Hua Fu was added to UN’s blacklist in March for its role in smuggling sanctioned DPRK coal from Nampho to Vietnam in 2017, along with its owner, Chan An Shipping and Technology.
