News North Korean ship arrives at Chinese port capable of handling bulkVessel was formerly tied to sanctions evasion networks in Hong Kong A North Korean-flagged general cargo ship arrived near a Chinese port which handles sanctioned commodities like coal and iron, and took up position outside the facility, the NK Pro ship tracker shows. The 3600-tonne Mi Yang 5 arrived at China’s Longkou port on Thursday and was waiting outside the area at the time of writing. The port was once a common drop off point for North Korea’s raw materials, and the DPRK’s ships continue to visit the area though in less frequency than before.
