While the ship is not sanctioned, its former owners were involved in North Korea’s smuggling programs and tied to numerous instances of North Korean sanctions evasion. The Sierra Leone-flagged Safe Way arrived near South Korea’s Incheon port earlier this week and was holding position near the busy facility at the time of writing.
