Topic Energo is a company which works with North Korea on a variety of in-country hydropower projects which are approved by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The hydroelectricity power plants are part of the UNFCCC’s suite of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects, green enterprises which once operational generate Certified Emission Reduction units (CERs).
