News Russian oil deliveries to North Korea dwindled in July: UNFigures appear inconsistent with previously published export data, however Russian shipments of oil products to North Korea fell in July to just a third of their value from the previous month, the latest figures made available to the UN show. UN Resolution 2397 capped the amount of refined oil member states can deliver to North Korea, while also placing reporting requirements on the exporters. According to figures published by the UN’s 1718 Committee, Russia exported only 576 tonnes of refined oil products to the DPRK in July, down from over 1500 the previous month.
