Chinese oil product exports to North Korea in August rose to their highest levels since October, figures from the UN’s 1718 Committee website show.

UN Resolutions place caps on the amount of refined oil products countries can export to North Korea, and any shipments must be reported to the UN’s 1718 Committee.

But despite the increase, the exports still remain far below what a country with a population of around 25 million people would likely consume in a 30-day period.
