A North Korean oil tanker sailed to the Russian Far East earlier this week, one of the first advertised visits in months, the NK Pro ship tracker shows.

The 949-tonne tanker arrived in the region on Wednesday, though as of Friday had yet to visit any berths or terminals in the area, its location broadcasts indicate.

The ship, called the Ma Du San, is one of the few DPRK oil transporters not under UN sanctions, though its Auto Identification System (AIS) transmissions indicate it is owned by a UN and U.S. designated company.[/p
