But DPRK demand for Chinese goods also swelled to levels not seen since last year, despite the reported trickle of funds from North Korea’s own shipments to its neighbor. Although Beijing has cut access to its detailed trade numbers and stopped providing the breakdowns to traders and organizations like the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), it still publishes overall monthly trade totals.
