A North Korea-linked ship owned by a sanctioned company appears to be sailing under a Chinese flag, in a possible breach of UN resolutions.

UN resolution 2321, passed in late 2016, prohibits member states from providing ship registration services to vessels which have been delisted by other authorities, but the 6200-tonne Dong Fang Shen Long, along with 18 other vessels, was removed from Panama’s registry earlier this year.

“(The vessels) have been deleted from the Panama Ship Registry, as a result of investigations that have shown links to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,” Panama’s
