North Korean textile exports to China continued in November, the latest trade figures show, ahead of new UN restrictions that will ban the shipments on December 10.

Clothes and garments are traditionally one of the North’s most valuable exports, with the DPRK earning an estimated USD$600 million from the trade annually.

The DPRK earned over USD$36 million from the exports in November, according to data from China’s General Administration of Customs, with an additional USD$3 million coming from other, miscellaneous textile shipments.
