A sanctioned North Korean oil tanker appeared near China’s Dalian port on Wednesday, an increasingly rare sight following reports of fuel sale suspensions and U.S. Treasury sanctions earlier in the year.

The small coastal tanker – which only infrequently broadcasts its location on international tracking systems – has not yet called into the port, the NK Pro ship tracker shows, instead stopping outside the Chinese port.
