President Moon Jae-in is to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his first state visit to China this week. His trip, commencing December 13 and lasting four days, comes amid high regional tensions, with the DPRK just testing its longest range ICBM to date, and ongoing worry over U.S. military action against the DPRK.
In Beijing, the two leaders will likely discuss both China’s “Three No’s” and freeze-for-freeze (also called the double freeze) proposals as a matter for handling regional tensions and responses to North Korean testing.
