Three newly sanctioned North Korean ships arrived at ports in Russia and China only a few days after the U.S. Treasury Department designated them, the NK Pro ship tracker shows.

While Treasury sanctions on vessels do not constitute port bans like their UN counterparts, the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)’s choice of targets suggests the vessels or their ownership may be involved in sanctions evasion.
