KoreaBrand visible in photos cannot be named for legal reasons A popular South Korean clothing brand used a factory in North Korea’s Rason special economic zone (SEZ) to produce inventory in 2015, despite sanctions prohibiting inter-Korean exchange, an NK Pro investigation has revealed. Photos obtained from August 2015 show scores of boxes featuring the name of a South Korean company and the printed URL of the brand’s .co.kr website address, as well as “Made in China” signs, despite being made by laborers working at the Rason Sonbong Textile Factory in the northeastern DPRK.
