Two Russian oil tankers called in at North Korea’s Nampho since May 26, the third instance of a foreign-owned tanker visiting the DPRK’s main oil terminal this year.

Since NK News first started tracking oil tanker movements in the area in 2014, North Korea has mainly used its own fleet of ships to move oil products from neighboring Russia and China.

But the arrival of the two foreign tankers in recent weeks follow another visit in late February, indicating the DPRK is increasingly looking to Russian companies for some fuel deliveries.
