A look at how ballistic missiles have been traditionally used in and out of combat can help in assessing the threat the DPRK’s ballistic missile and rocket arsenal could actually represent. The DPRK’s arsenal hasn’t been tested in combat, but similar arsenals have been used in conflicts such as in the Iran-Iraq War and the ongoing conflict in Yemen. From these cases we can see how ballistic missiles are actually used in combat and predict how the DPRK would use its arsenal should hostilities ever break out again on the Korean Peninsula.
