Analysis Evidence of Pyongyang building collapse inconclusiveNK News investigation, in-country sources cast doubts on media reports
Satellite imagery analysis and NK News’ in-country sources have cast some doubts on South Korean media reports of a fatal building collapse in Pyongyang, alleged to have occurred around April 10.
Both News Can and Channel A news reported that as many as 60 North Korean construction workers were killed and hundreds more buried, following the collapse at a construction site on Ryomyong Street. The News Can report, citing an unnamed source, said that secondary and tertiary collapses occurred at the site during cleanup operations, inflicting further damage.
